A Million Different Meteorites

For anyone who has ever held a meteorite in their hand, you know it can be an awe-inspiring thing. Straight from somewhere in space, a meteorite comes whizzing through our atmosphere and lands like a present-day fossil on earth's soil. The largest meteorite to ever have fallen in the United States is the Willamette Meteorite. The Williamette Meteorite weighs 32, 000 pounds, is comprised of over 91% iron and 8% nickel and now resides in the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Slightly too big to be a paperweight, the Williamette Meteorite offers a natural spectacle which we, in our curiosity, wish to know more about and hold a piece for ourselves in our own hands.

Choosing a meteorite out of a selection likes ours can be a daunting task. Maybe start by selecting one as a unique gift for anyone who likes the unusual, or for the space enthusiast in the family. No two are ever the same, so it's impossible to buy one that space buff already has. Plus, the prices listed here are lower than you'll find anywhere else, online and off. Scroll through endless combinations of shapes, sizes and composites as your gift-giving list grows and your own collection multiplies.
